Police were left bemused when a horse wandered into a head office building and would not leave.

The traditional cob walked into Cheshire Police Headquarters, in Winsford, earlier this week.

In a hilarious video shared online a police officer can be seen shooing the pony away with his hat.

But he does not have much luck as the animal just strolls past him into the reception.

It is unknown whether the pony was just horsing around or wanted to report a crime, but later footage shows the officer beckoning the horse and successfully leading him outside of the mane building.

The force said the animal was escorted back to his paddock.
