Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have teased the upcoming season of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here with a clip of them preparing to do a bushtucker trial.

The hosts of the popular ITV reality show - which is now in its 20th season - posted the short clip on social media.

In it, the hosts are dressed in the familiar I’m A Celeb camp uniforms and appear to be in a jungle setting.

Dec says “it’s nerve wracking isn’t it?” as the duo reveal they are preparing to take part in a  trial for the first time.

A bushtucker trial is the daily challenge set for the celebrities in camp where they must do a series of often gruesome activities - such as eating unusual animal parts or having bugs thrown on them - to earn evening meals.

Ant says: “We don’t know whats in store, it is just like the celebrities feel. Its payback isn’t it. We have got away with it so long, they are going to throw everything at us.”

Dec then jokes: “I am thinking of making a run for it. We haven’t done anything yet - lets see what happens.”

The hosts tease what happens in their trial in another audio clip posted online. "Can you guess which of us was resposible [sic] for these vulgar sounds during our #BushtuckerTrial?" the duo wrote.

The clip suggests the hosts were forced to do the eating trial - one of the most famous of all the challenges where competitors must  eat things like fish eyes and witchetty grubs.

The upcoming season of the show, which usually takes place in the Australian jungle, will take place in Abergele’s Gwrych Castle in Wales due to the pandemic. It will begin on November 15.

Celebrities including Olympian Mo Farah, broadcaster and blogger Giovanna Fletcher, Strictly dancer AJ Pritchard, journalist Victoria Derbyshire, presenter Vernon Kay and EastEnders actress Jessica Plummer are rumoured to be among the 12 stars appearing on the series.
