Injured model: Boyfriend is bailed

12 April 2012

Former glamour model Kathy Lloyd was taken to hospital with arm and head injuries following an argument with her boyfriend, police said.

Police were called to the west London home of the ex-Page Three model on Wednesday evening to reports of a disturbance at the house.

She was taken to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital with injuries to her arm and head before being arrested on suspicion of assault. Her 33-year-old boyfriend, who suffered a minor hand injury, was also arrested on suspicion of assault.

The pair were questioned overnight at separate west London police stations.

Ms Lloyd, 39, who rose to fame in the late 1980s, was later released with no further action. Her boyfriend was released on police bail until a date in January pending further inquiries.

A police spokesman said: "We were called to a disturbance at a house in Walpole Street, south-west London."

Ms Lloyd first appeared as a Page Three girl in The Sun newspaper in early 1986 at the age of 17. She later appeared in the Daily Star and the Daily Mirror newspapers.

In 1996 she shot a video special for Playboy. More recently, she has appeared in men's magazines such as Maxim, Loaded, and FHM.
