The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's first child is predicted to have William's nose and lips but Kate's dark hair and almond-shaped eyes.
The birth of the royal baby is not expected until July but researchers have already begun trying to create an image of the future monarch.
They have come up with two young adults whose features are a combination of their royal parents, but have a look all their own.
Researcher Nickolay Lamm, was commissioned by the website MyVoucherCodes.co.uk to help create the images of the royal offspring.
If William and Kate, who is more than five months pregnant, have a girl she is likely to have her mother's dark flowing locks, dimples, rounder face but inherit Williams distinct nose and fuller lips.
A boy born to the royal couple will also have a dark mop of hair combined with his dad's nose, lips and masculine jawline.
Both possible offspring are predicted to have their mother's slight olive complexion and almond shaped eyes.
All the predicted features are said to be "dominant" traits and are likely to supersede others. So the royal baby should inherit Kate's dark hair rather than William's lighter crop and the Duke's fuller lips over the Duchess' thinner ones.
Mr Lamm said: "The boy has William's jaw, lips and blue eyes. The main difference between William and his hypothetical son is his dark hair and olive skin complexion like Kate."
He added "Regarding a possible daughter her face will have the oval shape of Kate's and her general face will look like Kate's but her nose and lips will be from William."
