Bond film No Time to Die is reportedly set to be released one week early in the UK.

The 25th film of the James Bond franchise is one of 2021’s most highly anticipated films.

It was set for release in 2020, but was pushed back to April 2021 and then October 8 due to the pandemic.

However, reports today suggest UK audiences can watch the film one week before the rest of the world.

In a tweet, Tom Linay - who is marketing company Digital Cinema Media’s Content Business Director - reported that No Time to Die will  be released in UK cinemas on September 30.

James Bond movies are usually released in the UK. ahead of the US so the reports would fit with that pattern. The James Bond team have been contacted by the Standard for confirmation.

No Time to Die stars Daniel Craig, 52, in his fifth outing as the British spy, as well as Léa Seydoux, who returns as Madeleine Swann, Rami Malek, Lashana Lynch and Ana De Armas. It is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, with a script co-written by Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

It will deliver a satisfying ending for Craig’s Bond, according to producer Barbara Broccoli.

Speaking on the official James Bond podcast, she said: “It’s a culmination of everything that his portrayal of the character has been through and it ties up all the storylines. It’s a pretty epic film, I have to say.”

No Time To Die finds Bond after he has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica, when his old friend from the CIA, Felix Leiter, played by Jeffrey Wright, turns up asking for help.

It was confirmed in January No Time To Die was to be delayed.

The film was among several major releases from Hollywood studios to be delayed last year in a bid to scramble to protect their movies from certain box office doom, with cinemas remaining closed around the world.

Earlier this month Warner Bros announced it was delaying the release of Sopranos prequel The Many Saints of Newark.

And after MGM released the Bond news, Sony said Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway was moving from April to June, Ghostbusters: Afterlife was pushed from June to November and Cinderella, which stars singer Camila Cabello, will now arrive in July.
