Liam Gallagher has sparked rumours of an Oasis reunion after sending a series of cryptic tweets yesterday evening.

The singer spelled out the letters ‘O A S I S’, following them up with ‘OASIS LG’ but gave no further explanation.

Shortly after the mysterious message the Twitter world was sent into a frenzy with many fans suggested the Mancunian rockers could be headlining Glastonbury.

One fan wrote: “Praying Liam Gallagher’s tweet from last night was the biggest hint of an Oasis reunion.”

But others took Gallagher’s message as confirmation of the reunion, with one user writing: “I have Oasis reunion to look forward to, maybe in Hyde Park.”

It was also suggested the singer was just testing out how to spell on a new smartphone.

Bookmakers Paddy Power and Ladbrokes have since suspended betting on the headlining the summer festival.

Gallagher has recently been touring with his band Beady Eye, who opened Glastonbury’s Other Stage last year.
