Man faces court over jewel raid

A seventh man charged with involvement in Britain's biggest jewellery robbery is appearing in court.

Aman Kassaye, 24, of no fixed abode, is accused of conspiracy to rob Graff jewellers in central London on August 6.

He is also charged with attempted murder, unlawful imprisonment and use of a handgun with intent to resist arrest.

Kassaye will appear before Wimbledon magistrates on Monday.

Another six men have already been charged with conspiracy to commit the £40 million robbery.

Benjamine McFarlane, 21, of Paveley Street, St John's Wood, north-west London; Courtney Lawrence, 30, of Ladbroke Grove, central London; Gregory Jones, 29, of Elgin Avenue, Harrow, north-west London; Jamal Mogg, 42, of Westby Road, Bournemouth; Solomun Beyene, 24, of Lilestone Street, St John's Wood; and Craig Calderwood, 26, of no fixed abode, will appear at Kingston Crown Court on October 23.

Beyene and Calderwood also face one firearms charge each.
