Police are investigating a city centre shooting that left one man dead and another injured.
The pair - both in their early 20s - were shot in the Victoria Park area of Manchester.
Police were called to Anson Road, near Manchester Royal Infirmary, and found the two injured men. Both were rushed to hospital where one later died.
The other man's condition is not thought to be life-threatening, said a Greater Manchester Police spokesman.
Several roads around Anson Road were cordoned off while forensic teams inspected the area.
