A father of two has been stabbed to death outside his home by a gang of youths.
Steven Nyembo-Ya-Muteba, in his late 30s, was attacked only yards from his doorstep in Evergreen Square, Hackney, east London.
He had gone outside to speak to the group of youths just after 10pm on Sunday when he was attacked.
He was taken to Homerton Hospital but died of his injuries shortly afterwards.
Scotland Yard has launched a murder inquiry.
Four teenagers, including two aged 15 and 17, were later arrested by police in connection with the attack.
They are in custody at a London police station.
The death echoes that of young father Peter Woodhams, who was shot dead near his home in Custom House, east London, only minutes after a confrontation with a group of youths outside a nearby parade of shops.
It also follows a series of high profile stabbings and is likely to fuel fears about Britain's knife culture.
