NFL fans have complained about coverage of the Oakland Raiders v Seattle Seahawks game after they were forced to switch to the red button halfway through.

The Oakland Raiders were playing the Seattle Seahawks as part of the NFL International Series at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

A number of frustrated fans took to social media to share their displeasure at coverage of the game while others were quick to point out that despite the switch, it was still available in full.

Kurt Wilson wrote: "The #BBC relegate a great #NFL event on BBC2 to the damned red button nearly halfway through the game. Clueless scheduling, this deserves top billing."

Jordan Dias wrote: “Trying to work out who in BBC Sport decided “I know, half way through the game, let’s switch channels from Two to Red Button….for Sue Perkins.”

While Jamez said: “Really disappointing that BBC have moved live NFL game to the red button for some rubbish programming probably a repeat. No help trying to build the game over here."

Throughout the transmission, viewers were warned that the programme would switch to the red button however some chose to air their frustration online.

The BBC also warned people on Twitter to switch to the red button to watch the rest of the game however people were still unhappy.
