Sally Bercow today said she would love her Speaker husband John “forever” and that she would not rule out a reconciliation, following claims she had an affair with his cousin.

She said: “I will love him forever I have known him since I was 19 he is my best friend. He is an honourable man I hope is re-elected as speaker. I speak to him every day. This is not his fault.”

Asked if a reconciliation was possible she said: “I just don’t know at the moment.”

Erica Bercow, whose husband Alan was revealed to have had an affair with the speaker's wife, slammed Sally over her extramarital trysts and said she was 'narcissistic'.

Sally Bercow: said to have had an affair with her husband's cousin

Speaking outside her family's £2m home in Chiswick, and west London, this morning she said it was "too early to say" if she would be able to forgive her husband.

John Bercow's cousin Alan was revealed to have had an affair with the speaker's wife

On allegations she leaked the story she said: "That's absolutely false.

"I've a good job, I have a son, I have a husband and I've always been brought up to do the right thing.

"Alan is home. He's home and I'm sorry but I just find this all very distasteful and I really don't want to make any more comments to feed this woman's ego and narcissism.

Erica added that she was not going to be a “media whore” and comment on the affair.

Referring to Sally Bercow’s comment that her heart had been broken, she sniped: “I think you have to have a heart to have it broken.”

She said it was “too early to say” if she would be able to forgive her husband."

She added: "I'm not going to put any blame on anyone, I wasn't a party to it."

The lawyer declined to say how she found out about the affair or how long it had gone on for.

She repeated that she wanted to get the marriage back on track.

She added: "There's innocent parties isn't there and again I've a child and Alan's got two other children.

"He's not going to make any comments at all."

She said she had "no idea" if the speaker had spoken to his cousin over the affair.
