This is the horror moment a car bursts into flames at a petrol pump in east London.

Witnesses claimed a man was filling his tank when smoke came out of the boot of his car at around 3pm on Saturday.

Seconds later it had turned into a fireball on the Shell garage forecourt in Wood Lane, Dagenham.

Video footage captures the moment a child passing the blaze on a bus says to his mother “Fire mummy, there’s a fire”.

One witness said: “I was getting so worried people were getting so close to the fire just watching.”

There were no reports of injuries.

Firefighters arrived at the scene and quickly got the blaze under control.

Police said no arrests had been made adding that London Fire Brigade dealt with the fire “pretty quickly.”
