A 19-year-old man has been charged with murdering a man who was stabbed to death following a snowball fight, North Wales Police have said.

Anthony Finbar Burke, 20, was attacked in Clos y Berllan in Rhuddlan, near Rhyl in North Wales, on Wednesday night.

Oliver Michael Taylor is charged with his murder and will be held in custody until he appears before magistrates in Caernarfon on Boxing Day.

Officers were called at 10.30pm following reports that a man had been seriously injured in the street.

The victim was taken by ambulance to Glan Clwyd Hospital where he died of his injuries.

A police spokeswoman said it was believed he was involved in a snowball fight.

Mr Burke's neighbour, Ray Patton, told BBC Wales: "I've known him all his life.

"It's just a tragedy for the whole village. It's a big, big shock for a village like Rhuddlan for something like this to happen."

Mr Burke's family asked for their privacy to be respected at this time.
