The Queen led the Royal Family today in Easter celebrations at Windsor

Senior royals, including The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, joined Her Majesty for a service at St George's Chapel.

Future Queen Consort Kate, greeted the Queen with a curtsey as the royal family arrived for an Easter Sunday church service.

The 35-year-old Duchess smiled as she curtseyed before there monarch, 90, arrived. Prince William bowed his head too as his grandmother walked passed him.

The duchess, wearing a cream Catherine Walker designed coat, always curtsies to the Queen.

But it is rarely seen in public as it only happens on the first occasion the two meet on a given day.

It would usually take place behind closed doors unless it is the first time that Kate has seen the Queen that day.

This suggests that Kate and William travelled separately to the Queen without spending any time with her prior to their church service.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie both opted for spring-hued ensembles for the service and were seen speaking to Autumn Phillips, Princess' Anne's daughter-in-law, on the walk down from the castle.

Princess Eugenie, 27, wore a classic beige trench coat-style dress with a cocktail hat by London-based millinery brand Goldust Millinery.

Autumn Phillips, who was joined by her husband the Queen's grandson Peter, brought a splash of colour to the proceedings in an eye-catching cobalt blue coat.

She wore her long blonde locks loose around her shoulders and topped off the look with a striking black hat.

Prince Edward, his wife Sophie the Countess of Wessex and children Lady Louise Windsor, James, Viscount Severn were also in attendance.

Princess Anne and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence were also seen arriving at the chapel.

The Easter Mattins Service was officiated by the Dean of Windsor, The Right Revd David Conner.
