When are the 2022 Baftas? How to watch, nominations and who might win?

This year’s Baftas are being held at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday March 13 with Australian actress Rebel Wilson announced as host.

The 41-year-old Pitch Perfect star, who famously played Fat Amy in the franchise, follows in the footsteps of Graham Norton, Joanna Lumley and Stephen Fry.

Who’s nominated for a BAFTA in 2022?

The nominations were announced on Thursday February 3 with Lady Gaga and Jessie Buckley leading a charge of female talent which saw 70 women nominated - the most in five years.

There are eight nominations for Power of the Dog including a leading actor nod for Benedict Cumbebatch while science-fiction epic Dune has the most nominations with 11 with both up for best film alongside Kenneth Branagh’s Belfast, Licorice Pizza and Don’t Look Up.

How can I watch the BAFTAs 2022?

The BAFTAs 2022 will be broadcast in the UK on BBC One on Sunday March 13, timings have yet to be confirmed.

Fans tuning in on the night to watch the ceremony will also see TV presenter AJ Odudu and comedian Tom Allen in their roles as red carpet hosts.

The pair will interview the nominees and other special guests as they arrive for the ceremony with coverage of the carpet streamed live across Bafta’s social media channels.

Odudu was a finalist in the 2021 series of Strictly Come Dancing but she was forced to pull out of the live event after suffering a torn ligament.
