Witness appeal over office murder

12 April 2012

Police are appealing for witnesses two weeks on from the brutal murder of Catherine Marlow.

Miss Marlow, originally from New Zealand, was found stabbed to death in a shower cubicle at her office in South Lambeth Road, Kennington, south London, on January 13.

Police believe the 28-year-old was killed between 1.30pm and 2pm.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "An eyewitness has told police they saw a man dump a handbag in some bins on the afternoon of the murder.

"He is described as white, approximately 5ft 10ins, slim, aged 25 to 35 years, with short dark hair and stubble."

To date a 26-year-man has been arrested and released on bail and a 31-year-old man remains in custody in connection with the investigation. Another, aged 38, was arrested in connection with the use of Miss Marlow's credit card.

Anyone with information should contact police on 020 8721 4805 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
