A man has been found guilty of raping the same stranger on two separate occasions.
Onile Huggins, 20, of Mawbey Street, Lambeth, south London, first raped the 22-year-old on April 12 last year in Stockwell, south London, Scotland Yard said.
She had been visiting family and was making her way home along South Lambeth Road at about midnight when she passed Huggins, who was standing on the pavement.
He followed her, stopped her and forced her on to the front area of a house where he raped her behind wheelie bins.
Then in the early hours of July 14 the same woman was making her way home via Dorset Road when she noticed Huggins standing by a local school. The woman recognised him as the man who had raped her in April.
He put his arm around her waist and forced the petrified young woman into a local children's play area where he again raped her.
After her ordeal the woman fled the park and made her way home where she reported the rapes to police.
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police's Sapphire Command launched an investigation and with the assistance of the victim produced an e-fit of the suspect which was circulated by the national media.
Forensic officers searched the scene of the second rape where they found a used condom from which they identified DNA matching Huggins and the victim.
Huggins was convicted after a two-week trial at Inner London Crown Court. There was no immediate indication when sentencing will take place.
