Brooklyn Beckham is facing a backlash over pictures he took of Chinese tourists in Italy.
The 19-year-old posted images of Chinese tourists sat on a gondola and another Asian woman in a supermarket under the caption “no place like Italy innit.”
His images have caused offence online with some people angry at him for taking the women’s photographs without their knowledge and others claiming that the images were racist.
His Instagram account is currently set to private.
Many people took to Chinese social media site Weibo to complain about the images.
One user wrote: “An Englishman in Italy saying it’s not like Italy. Isn’t that a double standard?”
Another said: “No doubt discrimination.”
While one person wrote: “You are not like the son of Beckham.”
Some people even posted messages on David Beckham's Weibo account complaining about Brooklyn's actions.
One wrote: "What's wrong with your son?"
While another said: "I am very disappointed about your family's education."
Others have aired their opinions on Twitter.
Haley said: "I'm not mad just disappointed."
The photos coincide with Golden Week a national holiday that kicked off on October 1 with an increasing number of people choosing to spend their time abroad in Europe.
Brooklyn Beckham's representatives have been approached for comment.
