Cairo youths in line to grope girl

 

Youths surround a young girl in Cairo to take turns in groping her as crowds celebrated Eid. She tried to protect herself by folding her arms and sitting at the foot of a tree.

The boys also chased another girl across an open area to sexually harass her.

The attacks came despite efforts to counter harassment in Egypt in recent months at protests and festivals.

A UN survey suggested 99.3 per cent of Egyptian women have experienced harassment with 60 per cent saying they had been touched inappropriately.
