Couple call police claiming they were being held hostage by their cat

A couple claiming they were being held hostage by their cat had to be rescued by emergency services.

Milwaukee Police received the bizarre 911 call in which a woman describes their cat "going crazy".

CBS 58 reported that the couple were rescued from the hostage situation and the cat was taken away by the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission.

In the call, the woman said: “This is gonna (sic) sound like a strange question but we have a cat and it’s going crazy and it’s attacked my husband and we’re kind of hostage in our house.

“And we’re just wondering who we should call to do something, get rid of the cat or help us…”

CBS added that there were no injuries reported in the incident.
