Donald Trump's 'least sympathetic' moments following latest Twitter gaffe

Donald Trump was heavily criticised this week for a major gaffe after he tweeted his condolences for the wrong shooting.

The US President was accused of sloppily using the same message of support previously sent to shooting victims in Texas for a new message referring to the tragedy in California on Tuesday.

But it is not the first time the billionaire businessman has been slammed for being insensitive or lacking in sympathy.

Mr Trump – who has insisted he is the most “presidential” President since Abraham Lincoln – stunned the world with his comments over the far-right Charlottesville protest, which left a woman dead.

At a press conference following her death, he refused to explicitly condemn the neo-Nazi marchers and instead maintained there was blame “on both sides”.

He was accused of speaking insensitively again during a trip to Puerto Rico to see the devastation left by Hurricane Maria.

President Trump told victims it was “not a real catastrophe like Katrina”, comparing the death counts of the two disasters.

Also ranking in some of the leader's most unsympathetic moments are the comments he made over Sadiq Khan's response to the London Bridge terror attack.
