Police today charged the husband of a Sydney woman whose disappearance in 1982 has been featured in a hit podcast.

Chris Dawson was extradited from Queensland to Sydney, and was denied bail at a court hearing.

The 70-year-old has previously denied killing Lynette Dawson, mother of his two children, saying she abandoned the family for a religious group.

The Teacher’s Pet podcast brought global attention to the case.
