Giant alligator 'which looked like it came out of Jurassic Park' filmed strolling across Florida golf course

This is the moment a giant alligator which looked “like it came out of Jurassic Park” was filmed strolling across a Florida golf course.

A group of golfers were stunned after the huge reptile walked across the fairway as they stood just metres away.

Charles Helms, who filmed the alligator near the third hole at Buffalo Creek Golf Course, was heard on camera saying it was the biggest he had “ever seen in my life”.

Another shocked golfer estimated the creature was “15ft long”, while another marvelled at the reptile, adding: “You gotta be kidding me.”

The video was later posted on Facebook with one user commenting: “It looks like it came out of Jurassic Park!”

But Wendy Schofield, who works at the golf course, said the alligator had been spotted before and was a hit with regular golfers.

She told News 3: “He doesn’t bother anybody and they don’t bother him, he’s like a mascot for the course.

“He has been here for a very, very long time, he’s not new at all.

“The word has spread that this is a great place to come and play. He is the highlight, but we are worth the price too.”
