A teenage girl got a hammer stuck in her mouth in a "stupid" dare that went wrong.
14-year-old Kaley, from Louisiana, was challenged by her friend to put the hammer head in her mouth in a dare about her favourite Korean pop band.
Kaley admitted in a series of texts that one of the members of band BTS was "so beautiful I could shove a hammer in my mouth."
Her friend then dared her to do it, but the hammer got stuck widthwise in her mouth. A picture of her effort was shared thousands of times online.
Luckily the girl managed to free the hammer after about 10 minutes of trying to prise it loose.
Photos of the dare went viral after she shared them online, and she was criticised for her "stupidity."
One person wrote: "Can we all take a moment to imagine this girl struggling to put the hammer into her mouth? The dedication to doing such a stupid thing."
Another wrote: "One wrote: “kaley i don’t know u but im concerned for u”
One person however wrote: “how could you NOT attempt to eat a hammer because of him he’s so adorable”
Her mother is now “hiding the toolbox” from her daughter.
“I’m now going to be known as the Hammer Girl’s mother,” she said.
After realising her mistake, Kaley finally admitted: “There are ways to channel your excitement, and shoving a hammer in your mouth probably isn’t the best,” she said.
