A US pizza delivery man still managed to deliver an order moments after being stabbed in a violent robbery.

Josh Lewis, 19, presented the food to the emergency room at a hospital in Kentucky despite sustaining severe injuries in the brutal attack.

The university student from Detroit is said to have presented the Spinelli's pizza to medical staff at Norton hospital in Louisville before collapsing on the floor.

He was later treated for a collapsed lung at the University of Louisville Hospital, according to reports in the Courier Journal.

Spinelli's regional manager Willow Rouben praised Mr Lewis' courage and said the incident proved his "dedication" to the job.

She said: "I can't believe he just walked in there, said 'Hi, I'm from Spinelli's. I have a pizza delivery,' and then just collapsed. That's dedication."

She added: "He's just always been a really great guy. He shows up on time and is a great worker."

Police in Louisville are hunting for Mr Lewis' attacker, who also stole his black Jeep Cherokee in the robbery on Sunday.
