Cleveland Police hunt 'armed and dangerous' gunman after elderly man shot dead on Facebook Live

A huge manhunt is underway in Cleveland for an "armed and dangerous" gunman who allegedly shot an elderly man dead on Facebook Live.

The video, which police say is real, reportedly shows him driving up to the man in the street and opening fire.

Police in the US city have named the man they are looking for as Steve Stephens.

He is said to be on the loose after the video was shared shortly after 9pm on Sunday evening.

Stephens claims to have killed a number of other people on Sunday, but these have not been confirmed.

His Facebook and his posts have since been taken down. The video of the shooting was on his page for three hours.

“Wearing dark blue and grey or black striped polo shirt. White or cream colored SUV. Armed and dangerous. If seen call 9-1-1. Do not approach.”
