A woman allegedly vandalised her love rival's dead body by cutting off the corpse's hair and smearing its makeup at a funeral home.
The dead woman's family is believed to have reported the incident after spotting Shaynna Sims with her hands in the casket.
Police later found hair on the floor nearby after being alerted by the funeral director, according to reports.
Ms Sims, 26, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, is reported to be in a relationship with the woman's ex-boyfriend.
John Wilson, a funeral director at the Moore Funeral Home in Tulsa, he had never experienced anything like it in his 30-year career, Tulsa World reported.
"It’s really unfortunate that it happened," he said.
A police report is alleged to have detailed how the woman's body had a large vertical cut down the forehead as far as the tip of the nose.
Ms Sims, also known as Shaynna Smith, has been arrested on suspicion of the illegal dissection of a human body.
