Second teenager charged with murder
A second teenager has been charged with the murder of a 16-year-old boy who was stabbed to death outside a party at a social club.
Ben Morutare, from Walsall, West Midlands, was knifed in the leg during a disturbance at the Smethwick Home Guard and Old Comrades Club in Oldbury Road, Smethwick, during the early hours of July 28.
He was taken from the scene to Birmingham Children's Hospital but could not be saved.
West Midlands Police said an 18-year-old male, from Birmingham, was charged with murder and violent disorder.
It is the second murder charge in the police investigation. A 17-year-old boy was arrested and charged in August and currently awaits trial.
A further four people have also been charged with the offence of violent disorder in relation to the incident on the night that Ben died.
The four, all aged 17 and 18, were charged last month. One of the 17-year-olds was also charged with perverting the course of justice, said police.
A force spokeswoman added: "Meanwhile the investigation is ongoing and officers continue to appeal for help to identify people they want to speak to as part of the inquiry.
"Images of people the investigation team wants to speak to remain on the force website, following the release of 13 CCTV pictures in recent weeks. Eight of the 13 have been identified.
"Anyone with information should call 101 and ask for the Operation Harbour incident room. Alternatively information can be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
