Scotland Yard has suspended a sergeant in connection with new allegations of racism

A Scotland Yard sergeant has been suspended after a fresh allegation of racism in the force.

The allegation involved a conversation between colleagues in north London on Wednesday, officers said.

His suspension from duties is the latest in a catalogue of complaints against officers in recent months.

There are 13 separate allegations of racism under investigation by Scotland Yard and the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
