Undecided Will.i.am takes a break

Will.i.am had to take time out from The Voice when he was unable to choose between two contestants
8 March 2014

Tonight's episode of The Voice is put on hold when Will.i.am has to nip out for a black-eyed pee.

The US star leaves his fellow coaches - and two contestants - hanging around while he tries to buy time to decide which of the pair to put through to the next round of the hit BBC singing show.

The episode pairs K iki de Ville with James Byron in the battle round and their performance of the Patti Smith hit Because The Night leaves Will confused.

He tells them: "Yeah, that was fantastic, was flawless. You guys were immaculate , proud of you guys."

But he struggles to decide who to take through to the next round, saying: "These are some of the best people on my team because they are more than just great singers, they're like the complete package.

"Kiki is like, you need to have your own TV show... I really don't know, erm, can I use the restroom? I'll be back."

Will.i.am has brought back last year's runner-up, Leah McFall, to help him out as the show enters the battle-round stage.

His fellow coaches have done the same with Kylie Minogue getting Scissor Sisters star Jake Shears on board, Ricky Wilson enlisting Katy B to join him and Sir Tom Jones teaming up with Tinie Tempah.
