Djokovic seizes the initiative

Top seed Novak Djokovic fought back from one set down to win the next two sets against Andy Murray in the Australian Open final.

In the first set, Djokovic was the more aggressive player but neither man could grab a break as it remained on serve until the breaker, which third seed Murray won 7-2. The second set went to another tie-break and this time it went Djokovic's way 7-3 thanks to two mini-breaks - the first off a Murray double-fault.

The first break of serve finally occurred in the third set as crushing forehand from Djokovic in game eight gave him three break points. The first two were wasted by weak forehands from the Serbian but he claimed the third as Murray broke down from the baseline. Djokovic held firm to serve it out and claim the set 6-3.
