Leicester's Ryan Lamb and Gloucester's Koree Britton have been suspended for fighting during the Aviva A League match on September 30.

The pair were sent off after brawling in the second half of the clash, which Leicester won 38-16, and were called to face an RFU disciplinary hearing on Tuesday.

Both men were charged with striking an opponent contrary to law 10.4(a) but while Lamb pleaded guilty Britton opted to contest the charge.

Both were found guilty, with Lamb banned for a week and Britton ruled out of the game for four weeks.

An RFU statement read: "The cases were head by Sir James Dingemans (chair), Jeremy Summers and Dr Julian Morris at the London Bloomsbury Holiday Inn.

"Lamb pleaded guilty to the charge and the panel judged that the entry point for sanction was a low-end one (two weeks) before mitigation.

"Britton contested the charge but was found guilty and the panel judged that the entry point for sanction was a mid-range one (five weeks) before mitigation."
