Personal pointers

  • Rear hotel rooms are less likely to sustain bomb damage.
  • Label luggage on the inside so only you know where you're going.
  • Dress down to keep a low profile. Disguise computers in nondescript rucksacks.
  • Do not give away personal details to fellow passengers - it can put you at risk of theft or worse. If someone asks what you do, say you work in insurance - if they persist, try to sell them a policy.
  • Make sure someone at home or in the office knows your itinerary.
  • Avoid using your credit card in restaurants - untrustworthy staff might copy your card.
  • Take out insurance and medical cover.
