1. Polaroid Snap Instant

Does it get more totes retro than a genuine Polaroid photo? Not only does the cutesy camera comes in four primary colours, with three picture modes (including sepia, natch), but you can slot in a 32GB microSD card and make it digital too.

£89.99, Amazon, Buy it now

2. Lomography La Sardina

Lomography cameras are actually analogue — no sneaky hooking your pictures up to Instagram here. The La Sardina range is named for its fish-tin shape and shoots 35mm film.

£179, Lomography, Buy it now

3. Holga Digital

Originally as lo-fi as any Polaroid, the plastic toy camera of yore has crowdfunded a digital version, so you can share your pictures with the world.

£30, Holga Digital, Buy it now

4. Olympus Pen F

So retro it hasn’t even happened yet. Olympus pays tribute to its original Pen-F analogue model with this new digital version, due for release in March. It still looks like it harks from the Sixties (lots of knobs) but has wi-fi, touch-sensitive autofocus and shoots at 20 frames per second.

£838, olympus, Buy it now

5. Leica M (Typ 240)

The German company that introduced 35mm film in 1913 is still going strong. Its super-compact rangefinder does away with complicated menus and pointless functions and, most importantly, looks super-cool.
