Adele’s two-year-old son Angelo has received a huge five-figure sum in damages at the High Court today over privacy charges.

The son won the payout after his mother and father, Adele and Simon Konecki brought a case against Corbis Images UK Ltd for publishing photos of Angelo’s ‘milestone moments’.

Adele’s lawyer said that the star was adamant that her son was not and should never be ‘public property’.

The singer’s lawyer, Jenny Afia told Mr Justice Bean: "It is a matter of profound sadness that many of his milestone moments, such as his first family outing and his first trip to playgroup, were photographed and published worldwide expressly against his family's wishes."

The company, Corbis Images UK Ltd, have agreed to pay damages and legal costs to Angelo, as well as promising not to publish pictures again.

The pictures taken included events such as Angelo’s first trip to playschool and the first family outing.

Ms Afia said: "Adele and Simon are pleased this matter has been resolved. They continue to do all they can to protect Angelo's rights in relation to the paparazzi, including taking legal action where necessary.”
