Amy Adams made a showstopping appearance at the premiere of Disney’s Disenchanted, as she was joined by the film’s cast in Los Angeles on Wednesday (November 16).

The actress, 48, leads the long-awaited sequel as she reprises her role as Giselle, with her co-stars in the original 2007 movie also returning, as well as some new faces, who were all seen at the premiere.

Adams stunned on arrival at the El Capitan Theater, where the premiere for the Disney+ movie was held, as she wore a plunging deep-purple corseted gown with accented shoulders.

The actress beamed for the cameras as she sported a swept-to-the-side hairstyle in glamorous loose waves and presented a dramatic smoky eye for the occasion.

Adams’s co-star and onscreen husband in the sequel, Patrick Dempsey, appeared in happy spirits on the red carpet, as he wore a dark-blue checked double-breasted suit with black brogues.

Disenchanted revisits married couple Giselle and Robert as the princess makes a destructive wish that wreaks havoc on the lives of those in the real world and in Andalasia, the fairy-tale kingdom where Giselle is originally from.

Reprising his role as Prince Edward in the film is actor James Marsden, who was also at the premiere.

The actor, 49, looked dapper, as he wore a brown double-breasted blazer and matching tailored trousers, with a dark-green top and brown suede lace-up shoes.

Frozen star Idina Menzel is also back, portraying Nancy Tremaine, and she modelled a bold ensemble at the premiere; a bright-green and pink colour-blocked gown with embellishments and ruffles along the skirt.

Actor and comedian Maya Rudolph joins the cast in the magical movie sequel, and made a striking appearance at the premiere in a bold red cape dress.

Fellow newcomers of the film, actors Gabriella Baldacchino, who portrays Morgan, and Glee star Jayma Mays, who plays the role of Ruby, were also in attendance.

Enchanted made $340.5 million at the box office following its 2007 release and garnered three Academy Award nominations.

Speaking on the film’s sequel, Adams told Entertainment Weekly: “When we meet her in this movie, she hasn’t lost her magic.

“But she’s definitely lived in this world now for a period of time. But she still is Giselle, and magic, it’s still there.”

Disenchanted is available on Disney+ from Friday, November 18.
