The 25-year-old singer is back in the Caribbean after brief ly returning to London, and she certainly seems to be enjoying herself in the sunshine.

After a horse riding trip along the beach, she walked back to her hotel hand in hand with her hulking minder. An onlooker said: "They began holding hands, and after sharing a few jokes he put a protective arm around her. She reciprocated, making it obvious they have a very close relationship. He is constantly by her side."

Winehouse's record label, Island, is said to be paying for a recording studio at the house she has bought on St Lucia, in a bid to help her finish her third album.
