Armie Hammer's girlfriend has confirmed that the couple were engaged, but now the wedding is off.

The actor, 37, was previously married to Elizabeth Chambers and their divorce was finalised in June.

He moved on with 26-year-old Marina Gris, and reports began circulating that the pair were engaged.

Ms Gris has now confirmed the reports, but also that the relationship is over.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday, she shared a lengthy statement on the matter.

She began: "It’s with a reflective heart that I announce the end of my journey with Armie, a chapter that’s been deeply personal and warmly significant in my life and closed a month ago.

"I know him as a gentleman in every sense of the word. Our decision to get married and plans for a future together were rooted in strength, encouragement and deep mutual care.

"The decision to part ways, though tough, was carried out with grave and respect, marking a beautiful end to our shared journey."

She said she was "grateful" for the relationship, "but now it’s a closed chapter."

"As I wish Armie happiness and fulfilment, I hold onto our memories with fondness, including the laughter and lighthearted moments we shared."

The Kazakhstan native also referenced "conversations and stories" around her ex and insisted "my personal experiences with Armie were positive and in no way reflective of these allegations".

"I speak only from my perspective and my experiences and am not responsible for any of his past, current and future relationships," she added.

The actor had previously been accused of rape, emotional abuse and violence by multiple women in 2021, which he vehemently denied, stating that all interactions with the women in question were consensual.

He is also said to have expressed cannibalistic fetishism via texts to women, which he also denied.

In May, the Los Angeles County DA’s office confirmed in a statement that they would not be filing sexual assault charges against the star following a lengthy investigation.
