Girls Aloud had some support in the audience from the old guard at their Wembley Arena show last night.

The UK's biggest girl group were watched by two members of the original girl power revolution - Emma "Baby" Bunton and Geri "Ginger" Halliwell from the Spice Girls.

The pair seemed happy to have passed the mantel onto Girls Aloud, grinning and bopping away throughout the show. Geri would have felt particularly proud - as a judge on Popstars: The Rivals, she was responsible for setting the girls on the road to success.

It was Girls Aloud's second night at Wembley, although these are the first pictures of them on stage to emerge after they ran into difficulties with their official photographer - the only chap who's allowed to snap them. Some of his equipment, including his phone, went missing which meant there were no pics from their first show.
