BB housemates stage revolt
The Big Brother housemates staged a mutiny when they refused an order to nominate in front of each other.
The remaining five contestants feared it meant that one of them would be ceremonially booted out before Friday's grand final.
However, it later emerged that in fact the person with the most nominations would have received a special, individual award.
Daniel led the revolt in reaction to the request that everyone had to make one nomination and give their reasons while sitting on the sofas.
"I'm not going to nominate. It's my worst thing... I will suffer the consequences," the hairdresser vowed dramatically.
When he was again asked to nominate he eventually decided to choose himself.
"Daniel, Big Brother, because I'm extremely annoying to live with... and I've had enough," he stated.
He stuck to his guns when summoned to the Diary Room but his cool facade cracked when he returned to the sofas.
Trembling as he lit a cigarette, he whimpered: "I never broke a rule in my life."
Daniel was backed up fully by his comrades, however, as Jason, Nadia, Shell and Stuart all refused to nominate in the Diary Room.
They later rejoiced at their mini-victory against Big Brother.
After recovering his composure, Daniel said: "The bottom line... that is what I am... and I did not want to waver from what I believe in.
"I've had enough conflict to deal with... I think we all have," he resolutely stated.
"One unit," Stuart enthused, while Shell cried: "Together we stand."
