Big Brother fans will be hoping to get their hands on the 100 golden tickets which will give one lucky winner a place in the reality show's house.

The tickets are to be hidden in special KitKat bars in a Willy Wonka-style
competition.

One member of the public will be chosen at random to become a housemate.

Big Brother host Davina McCall will reveal full details of the contest in the Big Brother 7 launch show on May 18.

The tickets were delivered to a secret location this morning under tight security.

Special KitKat bars will be distributed to 40,000 stores nationwide and go on sale from 10.30pm on May 18. The competition closes on June 2.

A Channel 4 spokesman said: "This is a first for Big Brother. Nothing on
this scale has ever been tried before in a reality show.

"We are always looking at new ways of trying to find brilliant housemates and the golden ticket feels like a genuinely exciting way to do so."
