Boxer Joe Bugner became the sixth person to leave the I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! jungle after losing a Bushtucker Trial.

Booted out: Joe Bugner is no longer in camp

He and former Hollyoaks actor Stuart Manning went head-to-head in the challenge to avoid being booted off the the ITV1 show last night.

The pair were told they would be sent to Jungle Jail as punishment for receiving the fewest votes from the public.

Each celebrity had to work out how to escape from the prison to remain in with a chance of being crowned King of the Jungle.

In the end, Manning outwitted his older rival and made a high-speed bid for freedom, while Bugner was sent home.

Bugner, who entered the jungle to replace dancer Camilla Dallerup when she quit with exhaustion, said: "I didn't want to go, I wanted to stay to the end.

"I wanted Stuart to win, I've had a wonderful time, I knew from the word go that the youth would take over here, but the experience alone was fantastic.

"I can now go home to my grandchildren and tell them what it was all about."

He also took a final swipe at his verbal sparring partner Kim Woodburn.

Bugner said: "As sweet as Kim is I wouldn't want to be married to her - the lady gets involved in conversations when she doesn't know what she's talking about at the time because she is so decided on being bold and giving her opinion - we all forget what we are there for.

"Good God I love Kim but gosh, she could have talked the leg off an iron pot... this lady could talk and talk and talk."

The celebrities appeared pleased to see Manning return, with a a visibly happy Sabrina Washington declaring: "I didn't want Stuart to go, I was relieved he stayed."

Hollywood actor George Hamilton later told Woodburn that he might also quit the show today.

He said "Here's the thing, I'm going to tell you what I'm thinking, they're people who are starting careers, I'm at point where this is fun to do, I'm not going to go head to head, so I'm thinking about leaving, pulling out (today)."

"It's about me saying I'm not helping this camp except in morale, I'm not doing anything. So if I take that attitude then it's best I left."
