Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may look very lovey-dovey here — but, working backwards, the pictures leading up to their red carpet pose tell a different story. The 45-year-old actor was caught grabbing at Ange's arm and yanking her in for the cameras.

They made their trademark pose in Los Angeles at the premiere of his new movie Inglourious Basterds, where they spent an hour signing autographs for fans.

Over here darling: Brad reaches out for Angelina

Director Quentin Tarantino said Brad became his character, a Jewish-American soldier called Lieutenant Aldo, off-screen while preparing for the movie.

He said: "Once he showed up on set, he was Aldo. One of the wonderful things about that was that I really got to know my character. I could ask Aldo about a cup of coffee and he'd make a little joke...it was an Aldo joke."
