Aaron Carter has unveiled a new face tattoo - which appears to be of popstar Rihanna as Medusa.

The musician, 31, posted a video of himself rapping along to Suge by DaBaby while showing off an outline of a face tattoo.

Later on, while posting about a new piece of jewellery he had, Carter revealed his new inking in its entirety.

The piece, on the right side of his face, appears to be based on a photograph of Rihanna as the mythological character, from a 2013 GQ shoot.

Later, Carter posted a topless photograph of himself with the caption: “I’m the biggest thing in music right now. I can’t be denied. Fact check me.”

Fans were taken aback by the inking – with some warning the star he could regret it.

One posted on Instagram, writing:”#Mistake. You’ll regret it later Aaron. I’m sorry. I supported everything, but this is too much.”

Another said: “Your pretty face” with a sad emoji, while a different fan added: “Without a tattoo you were prettier.”

Others believed it was a good addition, with one fan saying the former child star is just “misunderstood”.

One said: “It really Looks good on you! You’re much braver then me, I’d be terrified.”

Another said “Absolute perfection” with a heart and a flame emoji, while another wrote: “Medusa was misunderstood, and so were you, but I understand you my dude.”

According Greek Mythology, Medusa was beautiful mortal who was cursed by the Greek goddess of wisdom and war, Athena, after she was pursued by sea God, Poseidon.

Her hair was turned into a nest of snakes and if people gazed at her for too long, she would turn them into stone.
