Adele smashes Taylor Swift's Vevo record for most video views in 24 hours with 'Hello'
Adele has overtaken Taylor Swift and broken the Vevo record for the most video views in 24 hours with her new single Hello.
The 27-year-old singer-songwriter released the video exclusively on Vevo on October 23.
It totalled 27.7 million views in its first day, smashing the 20.1 million views record that Swift set with her video for Bad Blood earlier this year.
Hello is the debut single from Adele’s eagerly anticipated third album, 25.

Fans - including celebrities - took to social media in their thousands to praise the song with some deeming it "magic" while others said they were reduced to tears.
Adele herself said she was nervous ahead of the release, telling Nick Grimshaw she would "belch".
Days before the singer released the new track – her first since Skyfall in 2012 – she penned an emotional letter to her fans apologising for the lengthy hiatus in between tracks, and explained how 25 is a “make-up” album as opposed to 21 which was a “break-up” album.
"25 is about getting to know who I’ve become without realising," she wrote. "And I’m sorry it took so long, but you know, life happened."
