Amber Davies has been slammed for her “hypocritical” sex advice, which included encouraging others to have “self-respect” by not sleeping with someone on the first date.

Davies released a set of rules for sex with her first point being not to sleep with someone you don't know

She said: “If you don't know the person, don't have sex with the person. It's all about self-respect.”

The 21-year-old went on to share further tips which ranged from turning down sex under the influence of alcohol to not having sex in an attempt to impress your partner.

“If there's alcohol involved ask yourself, are you going to regret it in the morning because when you're under the influence of alcohol you become a lot more vulnerable, male and female”, Davies explained.

She added: “We are absolutely binning the saying 'no strings attached' or 'friends with benefits', us females we all know we get emotionally attached after sex, so if you don't want to get hurt, don't do it."

Social media users were left unimpressed by the TV personality’s advice branding her 'misogynist' and 'old-fashioned'.

One user wrote: “When people do it on TV after knowing the person for a week. The irony of you asking this question is unbelievable.”

Another said: “The notion that 'all women get emotionally attached after sex' is verging on misogyny."

Meanwhile one posted: “As long as it's consensual, that’s nobody’s business except the people involved. No one gets to decide that SOMEONE ELSE is having too much/ not enough sex.”

Davies later hit back at the comments describing them as her “own opinion” and telling critics that there is “no right or wrong answer.”

The reality TV star won hit show Love Island with former flame Kem Cetinay, but split from him shortly after the show ended.
