Amy Schumer has revealed that Adele pulled out of officiating her wedding, hours after convincing her to tie the knot with Chris Fischer.

The couple announced in February that they had married after a few months of dating. Schumer has now revealed that the Hello singer had a hand in the decision to saying “I Do” and even planned to officiate the ceremony.

She told Sirius XM: "I was staying in LA in a house near Jennifer Lawrence, who lives right by Adele and they're really good friends and I'd never met her before, so we hung out a little bit that week.

"Then we were real drunk one night and talking about how we wanted to get married and Adele was like, 'Well, I can marry you,' and we were like, 'OK, cool.'

"We were making a whole plan, like Tuesday at noon, because she takes care of her kid."

However, the Someone Like You singer had a change of heart the next day and decided to skip out on officiating the ceremony.

Schumer continued: “Then the next day, she's like, 'Hey, we're not really friends.'

"She got ordained to marry her good friend, so I think she was like: 'They'll be annoyed if I just start marrying random basic b******’.”

Earlier this month, comedian Alan Carr revealed that Adele had got herself ordained to be able to marry him and husband Paul Drayton.

Speaking on This Morning Carr said the Hello singer had organised a lot of the big day and even took the step to be certified for a role in the ceremony.
