Big Brother's Scott Mason has temporarily left the house following the death of a loved one.

The 20-year-old history student was called out of the Borehamwood complex to be told of the bereavement, but he opted to return for "the time being".

A post on Big Brother's Facebook page read: "Scott has suffered a bereavement of someone close to him. After leaving the house temporarily to receive the news, he has decided to rejoin the house for the time being."

Channel 5 insiders have not revealed if it was a family member or a relative of Scott who died due to privacy reasons.

A Big Brother representative said that Scott spent 90 minutes out of the house as he was informed about the death.

During his time on the reality TV show, Scott has signalled his intentions to find a long-term boyfriend and has already admitted he likes fellow housemate Arron Lowe.

While brushing his teeth, he told Caroline Wharram: "I'm gonna love Arron for the rest of my life. And don't worry, I'm going to bring all that gay, I'm going to bring that out.

"We've had our little exchange of glances - I know what's going on in that mind. But all I'll say is, I think there's [something between us]."

Meanwhile, model Arron and bailiff Chris James are both up for eviction from the house, with the loser of the pubic vote set to leave during tomorrow night's nlive show.
