Will.i.am’s Black Eyed Peas bandmates say they would love the chance to be judges on The Voice.

Apl.de.ap and Taboo, who are touring Europe with the group, said it would be “amazing” to sit alongside the rapper as he coaches on the ITV talent show.

Will.i.am, 43, has been involved in the UK version of the programme since 2012 and is also a judge on The Voice Kids. Apl.de.ap was a judge on the Philippines version of The Voice in 2013.

Asked if they would ever want to do a Black Eyed Peas special of The Voice, Taboo said: “We actually were the mentors for The Voice Australia previously and we did the UK as well where we mentored Will’s team, it was cool.”

Apl.de.ap added: “As for the three judges on the chairs — that’s a good idea. I would be up for that, it would be amazing.”

The trio, who performed at the Hammersmith Apollo last month, are on tour without singer Fergie, who left the band earlier this year.

Jessica Reynoso, a finalist on The Voice of The Philippines, is performing in her place on the European run.

Speaking at the Music Industry Trusts Award ceremony last night, apl.de.ap and Taboo, who are both 43, revealed that their favourite places in the capital were nightclubs Tape, Drama and The Box — as well as chicken chain Nando’s.

Asked which band they would most like to see reform, Taboo said Oasis — as he became a Britpop fan despite being based in America.

He said: “I know it’s hard but I love their music. Every time you play Wonderwall, everyone loves it. Champagne Supernova. All those records are very inspirational.

“Even though we weren’t in the UK, we still felt that frequency they were on. We appreciate their work. I know they’re brothers, so I hope they get back.”
