Lisa Armstrong has broken her Twitter silence, days after her estranged husband was arrested and charged with drink-driving.

The make-up artist hit out at the paparazzi who she accused of camping outside her house in a bid to snap her picture.

She tweeted: “Another day another paparazzi taking my picture outside my house, wonder what this story will be?

“Just going to work. #imboredofmyself #boreoff x.”

It’s not the first time she has slammed photographers for hounding her. In January she tweeted a picture of herself with a Snapchat filter, asking to be “left alone” in the wake of her split from McPartlin.

She tweeted: “You’ve prob all seen the nasty, intrusive, ugly pics of me, so i thought I’d do your job for you!! It’s creepy, #please #printthis #pleaseleavemealone #creepymeninbushes #takingmypicture.”

McPartlin was arrested and charged with drink-driving earlier this month after he crashed his car into two vehicles in Richmond, south west London, leaving a four-year-old girl in hospital.

He later cancelled his work commitments for the “foreseeable future” to return to rehab for treatment.

Armstrong hinted that she was in “pain” following the incident as she ‘liked’ a handful of supportive messages from fans.

She also appeared to hint at being lonely after she liked a tweet from Simon Thomas. The presenter, who lost his wife Gemma to cancer last year, posted: “You never realise how lonely you are until it’s the end of the day and you got a bunch of things to talk about and no one to talk to.”

McPartlin and Armstrong’s marriage troubles came to light last year when he was admitted to rehab to tackle an addiction to painkillers following a botched knee operation.

In his first interview about his treatment he claimed he had put Armstrong “through hell”.

McPartlin’s presenting partner Declan Donnelly will present Saturday Night Takeaway alone this weekend for the first time. It is still unclear if McPartlin will be well enough to host the Britain’s Got Talent live shows later this year.
